|August 20,2019||• School Financial policy for Special Needs & RI Students|
Welcome to the 2018/2019 school year. I trust you had a safe and relaxing summer vacation. As every year, we have planned a variety of educational and fun-filled activities and events that will contribute to the educational as well as the social and emotional development of our students.
This year we will continue with our school’s transition from teacher to student centered learning which aims to equip students with basic academic, life and work skills, build their confidence and impart values needed to function as well rounded and productive members of society.
In order for us to ensure that your child gets the best possible education in the Special Needs and Vocational Divisions, I together with my administrators will spend the majority of our time inside classrooms to guide and support teachers. Therefore, as of now, only Mondays and Wednesdays will be set aside for parent meetings which need to be scheduled through the Special Need/Vocational secretaries. However, in the event of an emergency, I will be available to meet you at any time.
In order to keep up to date with activities and events around school, you can access our school’s website at www.dbs.edu.kw.
Your continuous support and cooperation are greatly valued.
Ms. June Wyngaard
Special Needs Education Principal
